    Standaard WM athletics Doha 2019

Yesterday began this competition in Qatar by a temperature of 45 degrees but not in a climatic stadium where it is possible to put between 21 to 28 degrees, depending of competition.

Anyway , in first final of Marathon women it was out of stadium in heat.
Jepgnetich won easily for Kenya before Chelimo from Bahreïn and Johanes from Namibia.
African girls were advantaged and first European from Belarus finished 5th around 3 minutes later.
40 % of girls gave up and those who finished had big problems and several were transported in golf car in rehydratation camp.

We will see in 50 km walk women and men if it was stupid to run in these conditions.

We have a preview of what will happen in 2022 WC soccer in Qatar.
In the statdium they have installed a giant airco system that keeps the temp. to 24 degrees. Have my doubts about how healthy that is.
Outside it's just hell. At midnight it is still 29 degrees out there. During the day over 40° and a humidity of > 75%.
Sheer madness to organise at that place.

About Oranje , very slowly begin with just a good performance of Burnett on 100m with a semi final in 10-16 but not fast enough for final.
We had to wait the big name , first Schippers won her series of 100m but not very impressive by time.
Then, appeared Sifan Hassan in middle of a group of seven with 3 Kenyans and 3 Ethiopians, she was not feeling foreigner in middle of her sisters of running.

Hassan was the most quick on 800 or 1500 m so she waited to reduce the distance before made her effort.Ethiopian Gedet attacked 2000 m from line but she not made the break and Hassan wait behind her the last 400 m to show her sprint hability.

Gold for Netherland who had a good pick in lottery of refugee.

Just before, Coleman won 100m after a big scénographie in stadium in 9-76. The successor of Bolt do not have any charism, he is not spectacular, far from Bolt time but thanks to him we avoided a succès from two catches for doping and double champion Gatlin.

Other tittle in long jump, Jamaican Gayle beat his own record two times and landed at 8,69 before Olympic champion Henderson (us) and young hope from Cuba Echevarria.

In Hammer women , Pryce from USA was the most strong before Fiodorow (pol) and Wang ( China), first finalist for France with Tavernier 6th.

Belgium team of 4X400 mixed is in final too in next days in a new created event.

Athletes said that on pitch , conditions are all right but it is difficult out of tracks with Fresch conditions who bring cold so fast, journalists are already ill, outside of stadium it is inferno .

About football, I saw Eto’o made some lobbying advertising about World Cup of football , saying how good are the quality of grass, he forget to say how much water is spent and that there will be only one stadium with air conditioner. It will be hard everywhere else.

It was her second 10.000m she did run. Very impressive win of Hassan. I also saw Renaud Lavillenie best pole vaulter of his generation and second best all time. Disappointing he did niet qualify.

Yes , Renaud Lavillenie is close to end his incredible career, in his voice we feel that Tokyo will be his last challenge with energy of last breath.he can not be strong like before since motorcycle accident , it is life...
His young brother Valentin Lavillenie will be in final for France but without chance to win because he have a feet of wood ( severely injured and considered lost for high level).

    Start of 50 km walk.

French wait to see Johan Diniz for gold or dust like every time with him.
We remember his tittle of European champion or world champion but we remember more how he lost olympics in Rio when he was leading then shit on himself in front of tv on road.
He is favorit with best time and he hate hot conditions and Doha. He had to wait the last 20 Km to make difference but he have psychological problem who make him crazy and not respect strategy that he agreed one hour ago.
Everything ready for a new french drama or glory...

Diniz respect his tactics during 7 km , only 30 minutes. Aieaieaie.

He quitted his group to join Suzuki ( without motor)as leader.
Second group of three at 20 s , third group of around 15 at 40s.
It is only warming but it is beginning of massacre.

Gold for Netherland who had a good pick in lottery of refugee.
Born in Adama in Ethiopia,[3] she left the country as a refugee and arrived in the Netherlands in 2008 at age fifteen. She began running while undertaking studies to become a nurse.[4]

Affiliated with Eindhoven Atletiek,[5] she entered the Eindhoven Half Marathon in 2011 and won the race with a time of 77:10 minutes. She was also runner-up at two cross country races (Sylvestercross and Mol Lotto Cross Cup). She won those races in 2012, as well as the 3000 m at the Leiden Gouden Spike meeting.[6]
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sifan_Hassan

Hassan indeed came to Holland as a refugee. She was not that happy and started running in Holland. Now she 's WC. Her last lap on this 10k was actually faster than het last lap this year when she did run the mile record in Monaco. Very impressive.

This 50 km walk is now a tragedy.
Japanese Suzuki look unbeatable at half race, behind it is massacre , competitors are close to stuck, sit on floor, desarticulated, second is more 3 minutes late for Ecuador Flores , after Haukenes (not)at 5 minutes.
The most impressive is that the leader walk on less fast rhythm than women in normal conditions, more than 4 hours race for the winner when normally it is less than 3h 40.
Women are still in group with 2 Chinese , Henriques for Portugal and Giorgi for Italy.

It is a very long night .
Japanese Suzuki is going to win but still 10 km , he will finished around 4h15 , never saw so slow race.he taked time to go to toilet 2 times and show some little sign of tired.
Behind Ecuador Flores exploded, haukenes caught a penalty of 5 minutes, there in second place Chinese Niu with two red card one more and he will stay 5 minutes on bench.
Other Chinese Luo is tired and let bronze medal to Vieira from Portugal who came from back.

About women, Chinese look more adapted to climate, Miss Liang is now dominating , Miss Li is second , for bronze Italian Giorgi fight against herself and Ukrainian Sobchuk come back from behind, Henriques from Portugal USA want finish now.

    Still 10 km to end

End of long night but with suspens in men race.

Suzuki was in end of his life and stopped 2 times his efforts and kept only 40 s on second who was Portuguese Vieira , 43 years old, who finished strong, but less strong than Evan Dunfee from Canada only one second behind , yes it was a sprint....after 4h05 of race.

Where is the Chinese Niu? He lost everything in last kilometer and was cooked at 4th.

For women less suspens Rui Liang won easily and looks the less tired between men and women in 4h23 , she beat her team mate Li and Italian Giorgi. The Chinese woman finished 18 if she was on men race.

It looks like men resist less than woman to this special conditions.

    Not the years of Schippers.
Fraser- Pryce triumphed for fourth time in great time 10-71 after give birth to a young boy. Asher- Smith represent future and Ta Lou caught bronze for Ivory Coast.
Great victory too in triple jump for Christian Taylor for a new tittle with 17m92, Claye second again and first medal ever for Burkina Faso for Zango who trained in France with Teddy Tamgho.
Great victory in pole vault for neutral athlete Sidorova with 4,95m before Morris (USA) and Stefanidi (gré).

In mixed relay, USA won this new event before Jamaica and Bahreïn ( ????), Belgium finished 6.

For France this championship look like nightmare with lot of deception, last one is elimination of Bosse in 800m semi . He was owner of this tittle.
