Nu Engeland en Schotland eruit liggen, zou mijn droomfinale Zuid-Afrika tegen Argentinië zijn, maar ben nog steeds erg bang dat dat de troostfinale wordt...

Hmmm, Australie duidelijk een klasse té sterk voor Argentinie dat wel de toekomst lijkt te hebben met hun aantrekkelijk rugby new style met ontzettend veel lopende jongelingen en een aanstormende generatie 20-jarigen...Zal een ploeg van importantie worden de komende pak ze vast 10 jaar dunkt me stellig doch een probleem in wording waren ze allesbehalve vandaag voor de ervaren Aussies. Bovendien een prima spelverdeler mét nog groeipotentie en verdedigend sterker dan verwacht. Los daarvan een quasi probleemloze zege van de Aussies met slechts 29-15, dat viel me nog ietsje tegen qua score maar voorts een erg intense onderhoudende partij op full speed vol met turnovers en foutieve (dappere) passes. Argentinie kon enkel 5 penalties scoren (0 tries), Aussies 3 Tries plus wat conversies en penalties...Logischerwijs is het verschil tussen 7 en 3 punten maal 3 ongeveer hetgeen hen onderscheidde bottom line...
As predicted een aantal weken geleden de anticiperen eindstrijd N-Zealand versus Australia, een première in de finale overigens. ss gaat daar komende zaterdag ns lekker voor zitten meen ´k!

Australie inderdaad te sterk, niets op af te dingen .. Toch bleven de Puma's wel vechten en was het ondanks dat Australie er flink bovenuit stak geen "kat in het bakkie" voor die Wallabies. Ze konden pas wat geruster zijn na de laatste try, het zou niet de eerste keer zijn dat er een venijnig einde aan een wedstrijd zit en als het verschil nog met een try en conversie te behappen is is er nog veel mogelijk en daardoor bleef het spannend. Die Puma's die gaan we nog wel eens zien in de finale..

The IRB Committee has now agreed to the following pre-match displays:

Erg triest nieuws kort na het door N-Zl gewonnen WK...Legende Jonah Lomu is vannacht onverwacht overleden op z´n 40-ste...Deze geweldenaar moest gezien een nierstoornis voortijdig z´n carrière afbreken op z´n 27-ste doch nadien leek z´n gezondheid stabiel. It is time to change tittle of this thread by WORLD CUP 2023;

There was a malediction of final for all french national since a sunday of olympics games in Tokyo where France won 3 finals for gold.

I was thinking it was finished last week with final U18 european women of basket ball but they lost stupidly against Slovenia.

It is done today with France U20 world cup in South Africa.

French team crashed the competition with large shoulder player in pack, some brain in middle and some quick legs behind.

They beat one after an other one : Japan 75-12, New Zealand 35-14, Wales 43-19, England 52-31 and in final Ireland 50-10.
It was a massacre. They were not only physical, they have science of fight and a real collective game.

After 2 minutes, Ireland ( double grand slam 22-23) was leading 14-10, then a storm fall on them.

French clubs won more early in season all european cups with some crazy match for La Rochelle beating Leinster in last minutes after a loss 0-17 after 10 minutes by 27-26.

Next WC 23 will be surely an amazing moment in France in september-october. We are ready this time ...

Opening match of WC on friday with a gala match France - New Zealand.

France is ready for organisation ( we hope so...) and more important French team is ready.

This first match will not be definitive but it will give a color to this competition.

France will play without 4 players injured: Baille in first line, Willemse in 2nd line,Ntamack in fly half and Danty in center.

It is 4 important players but France have a large choice of competitive players. Wardi, Woki, Jalibert and Moefana will substituted them.

We are already sure that all blacks will not crashed France like in 2015 ( 62-13) because this time French players are well prepared.

NZ are not too much confident after a huge defeat 2 weeks ago in friendship match (not so frendly) with Springboks.

There 4 teams for a tittle: Boks,Ireland,France and All Blacks and 4 outsiders with very little chance: Australia (just change trainer), Scotland( surprise), England ( totally lost) and Argentina (less talent than before). Other nations are far... Japan not progress, Wales with young players because experienced one prefer retired, Italy ( with only Capuozzo), Fidji and Samoa ( not regular), may be Georgia will be surprising.
Hope that referees will make an honest job.
4 favorites team are going to meet them in quarter because of mystery of lottery picks . Reserve your day on 14 and 15 october with this time some match for live or death.

Ik zie Argentinië (een team waar ik altijd een zwak voor heb vanwege hun speelstijl) niet als outsider, maar Wales wel. We zullen zien! Het worden mooie weken. Argentinië speelt aanvallend teveel met de forwards en ze spelen te weinig uit in de lijn. Dat blijft hun zwakke punt.

Ik zie Argentinië (een team waar ik altijd een zwak voor heb vanwege hun speelstijl) niet als outsider, maar Wales wel. We zullen zien! Het worden mooie weken. Argentinië speelt aanvallend teveel met de forwards en ze spelen te weinig uit in de lijn. Dat blijft hun zwakke punt.

Alleen al voor het mooie volkslied, ben ik supporter van Wales.

4) Nieuw Zeeland
Heel vreemd, 2 teams van het Noordelijk halfrond boven aan en geen Nieuw Zeeland in de top 3. Dat is lang niet meer voor gekomen, dus een gedurfde voorspelling. Veel zal ook afhangen van blessures die ontstaan.
